Noir in Color - Ashley Cetin

Ashley's session was kinda of last minute but had to be one of my more favorite sessions. I loved the way the lighting worked out for these shots. Plus Ashley was a great model. The sessions lighting and set up made me think of a noir type film. This was the first of many session that I began to really focus on capturing images that felt more cinematic. cinematography has always been one of my main passions so photographing in that style is the best of both worlds.

Star Wars and Stuff... - Ashley Rowland

I have been terrible about finishing my edits lately! With all my business work plus some of my side jobs I have had no real time to finish some of my past shoots. But I have forced my self to catch up. This is a shoot I did with Ashley an old friend of mine back before Christmas. The session was a lot of fun and I was surprised with how well some of the pictures turned out.

River Walk With Austin - Jacksonville, Fl

Austin sent me a pictures of a photo he wanted taken. This sparked a whole session! I love the sunsets in my city during the winter season the lighting is amazing. The session was pretty fun minus the crazy wind. We spent most of the session down by the river walk before coming back and shooting at a waffle house. This was mine and my wife's first time at Waffle House and it was not half bad. Believe it or not the shots from the Waffle House are actually my favorite. It's something about the lighting made me think of a movie scene.

Hillsong Nights - New Life Church - Jacksonville, Fl

Had the opportunity a while back to be the photographer for the Hillsong Nights concert in Jacksonville. New Life put on the event and it was a major hit! The concert was a ton of fun and Hillsong was great as always. Really got some great shots at the event and was happy with the way they came out in the end. While I don't agree with Brian Huston's teachings I still enjoyed the night and Im thankful for the opportunity. Took me a while to get this stuff finalized but here are the shots!

Studio Session - Vicky

When your a kid you have that moment where you say, "I can never see myself in high school". This is quickly followed by the, "I can never see myself in college" statement. The truth is we never see ourselves growing up but thats what we do, we grow up. I have known Vicky since middle school and its crazy to think how long ago that really was. Both of us have grown up, gone to school and started our careers. But we have remained friends and its was a lot of fun catching. Thanks again girl!

Riverside Hipster - Ben

Had the pleasure of meeting Ben and Jeff during my Black and White photo class at UNF. Both of them are super talented photographers and pretty dope to work with. We had planned a shoot with a model but it all fell through so Ben volunteered to step out from behind the lens and model for us. It was pretty fun session and riverside is an amazing location!

Stress, Anxiety, Depression

We are currently in a world that puts a stigma on mental illness. Simply using the term mental illness leads us to images of Jack Nicholas in "one flew over the cuckoo's nest". But the reality is that mental illness is a far more common condition and does not make those it effects weak, crazy, or broken. The point of this project was to create images that capture what its like to deal with Anxiety, Stress, and Depression. Giving a window for the unfamiliar to understand what its like to deal with these common conditions. It is my hope that these images can lead to a real conversation on mental illness and the stigma it brings on those it affects.

Poolside in the Florida Sun - Rachel

Rachel volunteered to help with a few shots I needed for a new project I was working on. While we braved the cold water for it we could not pass up on getting some shots around her yard which has some great lighting. These shots sum up florida in some ways for me, no mater the time of year Floridians find time to get some surf, sun or both. It helps that we nearly never have a cold spell. (It's ironic that right now it's like 40º outside!)

Laura Street Trio - Marble Bank Building - Siobhan

For years now me and Tori have been wanting to get into the Marble Bank building. This historic building located in downtown Jacksonville has sat abandoned for years now. But at one time this was a beautiful bank servicing people from all across the city. Now the owners are preparing to brake ground and restore the historic building! After some work we finally got into the building and loved every minute of it. The building is amazing it has so much history and naturally Siobhan was amazing to work with. We were so happy with how the shot went and so glad we braved the dark and took pictures by the amazing safe. If you want to learn more about the Laura Street Trio or how you can help with bringing these buildings back check out their www.barnett-trio.com

Barnet Bank Building - Jacksonville, FL

Went out and shoot with the igersjax community group a while back. We headed into an old building in the downtown area, Barnet Bank. The building is amazing and has so much history, I can't wait see what the building becomes in the future. Thanks again the Barnet Bank and igersjax for getting us inside!

Community Sunrise, October 11th

Finally got some free time in my schedule to head out to #thecommunitysunrise, a weekly meet up held in my city. The Community Sunrise was celebrating its one year anniversary and it was a lot of fun networking with some talented creatives all across Jacksonville. I hope to try to make it out more often so these post will be more frequent!

The Volunteer State

I went on a vacation. Yes a real vacation! No work and no emails! Just me, my in laws, and my soon to be wife. While the idea of being completely cut off from technology might scare some, it was a nice change of pace for me. I took the time to capture some pretty awesome pictures and I must say I have rediscovered my love for landscape photography. Check out my Flickr page for the rest of the shots from my trip.
