Riverside Hipster - Ben

Had the pleasure of meeting Ben and Jeff during my Black and White photo class at UNF. Both of them are super talented photographers and pretty dope to work with. We had planned a shoot with a model but it all fell through so Ben volunteered to step out from behind the lens and model for us. It was pretty fun session and riverside is an amazing location!

Stress, Anxiety, Depression

We are currently in a world that puts a stigma on mental illness. Simply using the term mental illness leads us to images of Jack Nicholas in "one flew over the cuckoo's nest". But the reality is that mental illness is a far more common condition and does not make those it effects weak, crazy, or broken. The point of this project was to create images that capture what its like to deal with Anxiety, Stress, and Depression. Giving a window for the unfamiliar to understand what its like to deal with these common conditions. It is my hope that these images can lead to a real conversation on mental illness and the stigma it brings on those it affects.

Poolside in the Florida Sun - Rachel

Rachel volunteered to help with a few shots I needed for a new project I was working on. While we braved the cold water for it we could not pass up on getting some shots around her yard which has some great lighting. These shots sum up florida in some ways for me, no mater the time of year Floridians find time to get some surf, sun or both. It helps that we nearly never have a cold spell. (It's ironic that right now it's like 40º outside!)

Laura Street Trio - Marble Bank Building - Siobhan

For years now me and Tori have been wanting to get into the Marble Bank building. This historic building located in downtown Jacksonville has sat abandoned for years now. But at one time this was a beautiful bank servicing people from all across the city. Now the owners are preparing to brake ground and restore the historic building! After some work we finally got into the building and loved every minute of it. The building is amazing it has so much history and naturally Siobhan was amazing to work with. We were so happy with how the shot went and so glad we braved the dark and took pictures by the amazing safe.
